Intelligent Burma

While visiting China, General Than Shwe is invited to Chinese tea with President Hu Jintao.

He asks Hu Jintao what his leadership philosophy is.

Hu replies that, it is to surround himself with intelligent people.

 Than Shwe asks how he knows if they're intelligent.

"I do so by asking them the right questions," says

Hu. "Allow me to demonstrate."

Mr Shwe watches as Hu phones Prime Minister Wen Jiabao and says,

"Mr. Prime Minister, please answer this question: Your mother has a child, and your father has a child,
and this child is not your brother or sister. Who is it?"


Wen Jiabao immediately responds,

 "It's me, Sir !"

 "Correct.. Thank you and good-bye" says Mr Hu. He hangs

up and says,
" Did you get that, Mr. Shwe?"

Shwe nods: "Yes Mr. President. Thanks a lot. I'll definitely be using that!"

 Than Shwe, upon returning to Nay Pyi Taw, decides

he'd better put Prime Minister Thein Sein to the test.

 

Shwe summons him to his Home and says,

"Mr. Prime Minister, I wonder if you can answer a question for me."

 "Why, of course, sir. What's on your mind?"

Shwe poses the question: 


"Innn, your mother has a

child, and your father has a child, and this child is not

your brother or your sister. Who is it?"

Thein Sein was puzzled and finally asks, 

"Can I think aboutit and get back to you?" 


Than Shwe agrees, and Thein Sein leaves.

Thein Sein immediately calls a meeting of senior senators,

and they puzzle over the question for several hours,

but nobody can come up with an answer. Finally,

in desperation,

He calls Foreign Minister Nyan Win and explains the problem.

"Mr. Nyan, your mother has a child, and your father

has a child, and this child is not your brother or your sister.

Who is it?"

Nyan Win answers immediately, "It's me, of course, Sir."

Much relieved, Thein Sein rushes back to the Mr Than Shwe’s Home,

finds Him, and exclaims,

"I know the answer, sir! I know

who it is!

It's our Foreign Minister Nyan Win!"

And Than Shwe replies in disgust, " You are Wrong, ..

It’s Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao!"
